I've Passed.

Finally the CISA exam result has come out. During the waiting period, it made me nuts. Because at the first time I thought it would come out only three weeks after the exam date, but I got it wrong. Then my friend told me that ISACA usually would announce the result aroung 6 weeks to 8 weeks. And yesterday, finally the result came out. I knew it because Amel (one of office collegues) called me, while I was at client's site in Surabaya. However, I could not checked my result due to I couldn't access to the Internet at client's site that made me more uneasy. Because I had been waiting for weeks, and when the result eventually come out I cannot check it. Until the lunch break I text my bro to check for me, I gave him my email id and password. During that period me, I was very nervous. Then after a few minutes, I got his reply and said I passed.. what a relieve.. Thank's God. This exam has turned me upside down, studied while working hmmm, I never think that I could do it. Once again, thank's God that He always strengthen me during the hard time, He always faithful to His children. And also thank you to Kees, my big boss, who is so dedicated to guide and teach us during the exam preparation. and big thank's too to family, friends and collegues who always encourage me to pass through this exam. No words can describe all of the support that pour at me.. Once again thank you all..

Currently our office is entering a new financial year. Like every year by the end of each financial year management publish promotion list. Everybody at our department got promoted, though couple of them did not really satisfy with the rating result. Fyi, the rating would determine how much bonus you would get. Yeah, I believed management has considered deeply before they marked the rating. For my rating, I definitely don't have anything to complain. At the first place, I don't put too much expectation what could I get physically (read: salary), what I really care is what lessons I have learnt during the past one year. As I wrote one year ago, everything must have its time (Ecclesiates 3:11 "God has made everything fit beautifully in its appropriate time,but he has also placed ignorance in the human heartso that people cannot discover what God has ordained,from the beginning to the end of their lives"). I think if we are ready, He will give us what we really need.

In this month, there is another person resign our office, Reggie. Reggie left for pursuing higher education at York University, Toronto. During her last moment at our office she felt somewhat in between exciting and sad. Exciting, because she is going to go abroad and definitely will get new great experiences, and on the other hand sad because leaving us. During the past year we grew in one quite solid team. I also can feel that our team is a bit different compare to others that I had before. The people here are low profile and almost no boundary between us, even with our boss. However, I said to Reggie, she definitely has made a right decision. It is not everybody can experience higher education outside our home country, she will find many new things that she never had before. I am kind of miss my time when I was in Sydney.. double finger cross Reggie.

Our team is trying to make a new poster, which reflected the whole team member for replacing current one. The theme for the poster is the same as our firm's motto i.e. "*connectedthinking". In order to do that, each of the members need to modify their pictures, so the pictures would really reflect the theme. I come out with the above picture. :)

Gado-gado.

is refer to a kind of Indonesian food, which consist of mixed vegetable and peanut sauce. Indonesian people usually use this phrase for refering something that heterogenous. I also use this phrase for my writing's title to refer to what I am going to write right now. There have been various things happenned the past few weeks.

• About two weeks ago once again Indonesia was hit by another catastrope. Several places in central java was shaken by a approx. 5.7 SR earth quake during 57 second. Based on the report from television news the death toll reached more than 5000 people. Just before the disaster, a lot of effort has been put to evacuate people from Merapi Mount eruption, but nature said different. What puzzle me was the timing of the disaster, it could be said just one or two days after the Ascensions day, the last two big catastrope i.e. Aceh Tsunami and Nias earthquake happened just one day after christmas and easter day respectively. Just trying to understand what message that God really want to put through for Indonesia or all of these just need to happen that's all.
• Last week was our church 61st anniversary. The committee planned to have a massive youth choralle which would be consist of 250 young people from several our church branches, but surprise there were almost 350 people turned up, including me. We only had twice combined practice including the one right before the anniversary celebration service. It was really amazing we really sang well during the service. The congregation was really astonished with the performance, all of us could feel the spirit of the theme this year "Shine for Jesus". I hope each of us could really understand the meaning of the theme, hence we can apply it to our every day life. • Finally, last saturday I attended the CISA exam. During the past six months I tried very hard to manage my time for study. It was really hard to study while working full time, especially if the job nature such auditing most of the time is very time consuming. Actually the preparation effort was not only come from me and other candidates, but also our Boss, Kees, who once a week conducted CISA review class during the past six months. Honestly, I did not want to let him down, because he has already sacrificed his out of office hour for only preparing us to pass the exam. I am very grateful that have a great boss like Him. Then about the exam result would come out about three weeks after the exam day, it would be confirmed by email. At the present I don't want to speculate about my exam outcome, I just only want to tell myself that I have put as many efforts that I could for passing the exam, let God do the rest.
• Time really goes so fast now we are in the mid of year 2006, I just felt that we just celebrate the new year yesterday. The first lesson that I learnt the past six months was that acceptance for something that we can't achieve. Sometimes we need to lay back a bit to think about the essence of our failure and disappoinment, there maybe a way for our future improvement. Another thing is commitment for ministry. The past one year I have struggled to commit for a ministry in church. I afraid that I can't fulfil my ministry responsibility because of my time consuming job. After a long contemplating, I think I should try, coz we don't know we can and can't do it if we do not try. Then since last week I registered myself as a sunday school teacher assistant. I hope this ministry would be useful for myself in the future.

Gosh.. the time goes so fast. The exam day is coming closer and closer. Have taken one week annual leave to revisit the whole material again, but I start to forget some of the details, uh so frustated. Next week is the only chance for catch up and prepare, hopefully all of my effort will bring a good outcome.

An ordinary story in life.

Last saturday was a farewell bbq for my collegues Johan and Yenny. Both of them decided to move to PwC Singapore. It is maybe a usual event in our daily life, where there is a meeting, there will be a farewell. In this condition our office definitely lose two talented staff, but this may be a new journey, a new chapter for both Yenny and Johan.

Our farewell party begun with having bbq like last time and continue with watching a debut of "SPA movie", which created by Wisnu. The movie was very touching, it reminded us with the togetherness that we had since we joint the team, messages from staff for Both Yenny and Johan and vice versa. The party was ended by a speech from our leader, Kees. I was impressed by his speech, which basically means people's live is moving forward, maybe sometimes we are doubt to go or not go, indeed we never know if we don't try. Then lastly we took our last picture. Good Luck and Bon Voyage for Johan and Yenny, till we meet again, hehe Singapore just one and hour flight from Jakarta.. :)

• First of all just want to say "happy easter", may Jesus resurrection raise up a new spirit for us to share love with others.

• Just had a retret with a group who call themselves as "Sant'Egidio" Community. This is one of a catholic church community, which started by a group of students in 1968, Roma. The mission of this group is to help those, who are poor and unfortunate. There have been a lot of actvities that initiated by this group, please refer to http://www.santegidio.org. In Indonesia this group was begun about 12 years ago. One of my friend joint this group and have been very inspired to make the world better. Overall I quite impressed with the mission and what have been done by this group of people. Maybe I will join them whenever I have a spare time.

• Yenny is back. I can understand with the struggle she go through, but thank's God she is getting better. However, I heard that she is going to resign from our office for several reason. I just can wish all the best for her decision.
